  1. Principle of Ministry. Ministry happens when God, you, and the world intersect. Understanding each positions but does not empower you for ministry. The Holy Spirit does that.

  2. Principle of Growth. Growth happens as we embrace pain and challenge. If a relationship or situation is difficult, then it is God’s tool to produce growth in you.

  3. Principle of Balance. Balance is essential. Why? Because discipleship is a complex, multifaceted activity that is at best poorly understood through models. Models oversimplify.

  4. Principle of Passion. Passion is essential. Why? Because God asks us for it. “You will find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

  5. Principle of Kingdom. God wants us to build His kingdom. He commanded us to “Go and make disciples of all nations.”

  6. Principle of Exposure– You become like what you are exposed to.

  7. Principle of Cognition – You become what you think about.
