Karen and I are headed on a journey today to Romania. I looked in the book of Luke and found that journeys have a great many purposes. Here are ten:

   1. Journey of testing (Luke 4:1-2)
   2. Journey of calling (Luke 4:43)
   3. Lonely journey (Luke 4)
   4. Journey of abandon (Luke 5:26)
   5. Journey of testimony (Luke 8:39)
   6. Kingdom journey #1 (Luke 9)
   7. Kingdom journey #2 (Luke 10)
   8. Journey of sorrow (via dolorosa)
   9. Journey of identity (“Kingdom is within you”)

  10. Journey to covenant (family or tribe)
