Over the last year or two, I’ve developed a long-distance relationship with a number of you.  Some of you have found encouragement to live a more radical life on this blog, yet you long for more.  Maybe you’re a parent or a supporter of a student who has gone with AIM.  Or maybe you long for the kind of deeper-life experiences I frequently share on this blog.

To help you, we’ve designed a conference for the people who are on the periphery of our ministry who are seeking more in their walk with God.  It’s called the Breakthru Conference and it’s scheduled for October 17-20 in Gainesville, GA.

I believe so much in this that I’d like you to join us and if money is an issue, I’ll split the cost with you.  Hit the “Send An Email” button to reach me and mention this blog and I’ll scholarship you for half the cost of the conference. I’ll hold the offer out there for the next week or until we hit capacity, whichever comes first.

Here is more about it:

You know that God has made you for a
reason, but life has thrown a thousand ropes over you. How do you break
free of everything that is tying you down?

We’ve
found something wonderful that may be the key to helping you break
free. At Adventures in Missions, we send thousands of young people
around the world every year.

To prepare them for this intensity of overseas travel and adventure, we have developed a conference that turns their world upside down.

It has proven to be such a powerful experience, we want to offer it to the Body of Christ at-large, to people of all ages.

The BreakThru Conference includes:

  • Spirit-led worship services
  • Life-changing teachings on worldview, identity in Christ, inner healing, and prayer
  • Practical ministry exercises
  • Opportunities to pray and talk with spiritual coaches
  • Meals and lodging
  • Seclusion in the woods of northern Georgia
  • Amazing speakers: Ron Walborn, Ben Messner, & others
We’ll help you discover the greatness that God has placed within you
and teach you how to break free from spiritual bondage in your life.
We’ll also show you how to take what you’ve learned and apply it back
home, setting other captives free.

BreakThru Conference Details:

When is it? Oct 17-20
Who is it for? Anyone who’s in a spiritual rut or just wants to go deeper in God. No one is too young or old.
Where is it? AIM international headquarters, Gainesville, GA.  You’re responsible for your own transportation here.
Food and lodging? Meals will be
prepared and served by AIM staff. Lodging will be in our new on-site
bunk houses. You will need to bring your own linens.
Cost? $99 with my scholarship offer. (See online brochure for up-to-date details on group pricing and early registration deals.)

We’re limiting space to 30 people to ensure intimacy. One of the reasons we’re offering this is to get to know some of you
who read this blog and who are looking for the deeper life in Christ.
I can think of no better, safer way to go deep than this conference.

Here are some testimonies from past conferences (click on their names to see their full blog):

Dan Norman

“We experienced revival in the truest sense of the word. I don’t
mean the one week meeting when some evangelist would come to speak at
your church, I’m talking about when a group of people get together and
the Spirit of God comes on you to a point where there is the confession
of sins, and people are drawn to the heart of God.”

Sean Smith

“The spirit of God came upon me in three different ways during the
past 10 days. This specific journal entry is about the last time God
touched me. Prior to training I’ve never felt the spirit of God in this
way. Truth be told I’ve doubted the presence of God, doubted miracles,
and whatever I did see I wondered if people were faking it because I
had never experienced it. I feel led to share these accounts as a
testimony to God’s glory, mercy, love, and awesome power.”

Lindsey McDonald

“God broke me. It was the most horrifying, yet amazing, thing I have
ever experienced. He knew that if I did not allow healing for the pain
in my heart now, I would be of no use to him out in the world. I would always have this part of me I could not turn over to him, and he wants all of me.”

Kari Stembel

“I am in awe of how much God did in these past two weeks. As God
was helping our team to cut ties with sin in our past, He was teaching
us how to let go of our selfishness, to flush out the ugly part of us,
so He could pour and fill us with more of Himself.”

  • I so want to go, money is an issue but I’ll start working on that now! ML said she would speak to you about letting me attend.

  • I would like to go SO badly. I am so inspired by your blog and long to go deeper with God. I’m just wondering how I would do it being the mother of 2 1/2 year old twins who seem to need me more and more each hour :). Hmmm…. I will talk to my husband and pray. Thank you for everything you do and for your daily testimony. It’s so incredible. I downloaded The Art of Listening Prayer as I long to grow more in tune to the Holy Spirit’s movement and direction in my life yet every day I find other things to do to fill my time instead of read the book. I long for quiet and stillness and the Word. Yet I tune it out. Anyway, I’m just rambling now. Thanks again for all you do.

  • What a gift! I wish I were in a physical location where I could receive it, but I’m living in Guam on the other side of the globe right now. 🙁 Stumbled upon your blog through the World Race homepage and have been a reader for a while now. Such an encouraging way to open my email each day. 🙂 I’ve been praying about the World Race in the terms of God’s timing for a while now. So maybe I’ll make it there yet…:)
Your ministry is a great blessing,
thank you for all you do in advancing the Kingdom. 🙂

  • Im on the January 09 WR Squad…are we going to be doing this while at training camp since it is the first 3 days of training?

  • Teri,

you’ll be going thru some of the same training – the plenary sessions. In the breakout sessions you’ll be separated. In general, you can expect to be wrecked by the training as were the Oct08 racers!

  • I attended the training for the July race in April and let me just say for any of you that are on the fence about this… do it. For me that week wasn’t about getting ready for a Race or even making myself into something new. I needed to be claimed by our Lordfully. I needed the weariness to be lifted, the chains to be shattered, the sin and pride and shame to die… which was all able to happen because the Spirit of the Lord is present there (strongly!) and beyond that as you begin to break and the walls fall you have a staff of people ready to walk with you as you figure this out. This is long, but let me say as someone who’s life now looks more like a nine-to-five but finds herself still completely at the edge of who she is… take the chance and jump. It is totally worth it.

  • Seth, I would love to be a part of this but have a family wedding in Asheville that I cant miss on Saturday and Sunday. I would love to help on Friday night though if you need someone to help with the meal. I would love to help cook or do whatever is needed. Just let me know if I can help. Blessings, Robin

I'm motivated to join God in his global reclamation project. He's on the move, setting his sons and daughters free from their places of captivity. And he's partnering with those of us who have been freed to go and free others.
