Some of you figure you’ve been dealt a pretty poor hand in life. Maybe you’ve got debts piling up, or you’ve had bad luck in relationships, or you can’t find work that is satisfying, or you are bothered by a nagging pain, or in some way, you just find yourself struggling from day to day.
I figure that God has made you to bloom. You may find yourself in very tough soil, but no matter where you’ve been planted, you’ve got something to show the world.
I walked flowers in sidewalkdown our front sidewalk and saw these primrose poking up through the sidewalk. What a terrible place to have to grow! Surely the nice garden soil on either side would have been much more conducive to growing. But the flowers didn’t complain or argue, they just bloomed.
That’s what you were made to do. God gave you abilities that the world needs to see. There are people much needier than you in the world and they need you.
What difficult circumstances have you been planted in? What is the part of you that needs to bloom there? Maybe it’s time to let the world see it.
“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their
clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as
they are.”
              Luke 12:27
