Bloom where you’re planted
Some of you figure you’ve been dealt a pretty poor hand in life. Maybe you’ve got debts piling up, or you’ve had bad luck in relationships, or you can’t find work that is satisfying, or you are bothered by a nagging pain, or in some way, you just find yourself struggling from day to day.

I figure that God has made you to bloom. You may find yourself in very tough soil, but no matter where you’ve been planted, you’ve got something to show the world.
I walked down our front sidewalk and saw these primrose poking up through the sidewalk. What a terrible place to have to grow! Surely the nice garden soil on either side would have been much more conducive to growing. But the flowers didn’t complain or argue, they just bloomed.
That’s what you were made to do. God gave you abilities that the world needs to see. There are people much needier than you in the world and they need you.
What difficult circumstances have you been planted in? What is the part of you that needs to bloom there? Maybe it’s time to let the world see it.
“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their
clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as
they are.”

Beautiful Seth. I believe this one was meant for me tonight. Thanks.
Amen bro…or the eidelweiss–remember? from The Sound of Music–bloom and grow, bloom and grow, forever.
Awesome and very well said. Thanks, from me in Ohio
nice!
Thanks Seth..
seth! just what i needed to hear today. you have no idea. after a terrible bike accident where i landed on my face and being beaten down by the enemy, what i needed to hear!
And how can we help others, after we’ve bloomed where we are? I’m thinking that man’s stiff, artificial world (from concrete to mindsets to governments and more) can’t stop every flower from blooming – thank God!!
I lack words, because every word seems to describe me…i was separated from my family when i was only 16.My step father chased me away like a stray dog, just because they had a disagreement with my drinking mother. What had i to do anyway? The only person I could have stayed with was my ailing grandmother who wasnt working and had no any source of income….but all that didn’t stop me from fighting on,through the grace of God I have strugled and believe you me,now Iam a first year student in a local university and iam very optimistic because I Know eventually all will be well with me.

What a beautiful illustration.
