There is greatness in our young people. They have enough ideas and energy to change the world. Gary Black, and I are always talking about this. We met last week in Dallas and the conversation flowed like water. Here, by sharing a story about his daughter Alexis in Swaziland, Gary helps us understand how we can help young people tap into the greatness that has been deposited in them and lies latent.
The question is, has your father ever given you this kind of kingdom opportunity? Or do you as a parent wrestle with giving your children a chance like this to make a difference? It’s what gets our kids to greatness.

is gary saying that girls being abused is sexual sin because he did not really make that clear in his comments. i doubt he means that. also, was he commenting that a 10 yr old girl who has sex with a bus driver to get to school is sinning? is it
No – the men abusing them are the ones sinning and the girls felt dirty or “Sinful” for continuing to give themselves away for bread, ride’s etc… When they are forced, it is not sin!
Some of them however do choose to have premarital sex etc
does that help? Sorry I did not make that clearer
I will like to know the real Biblica role of a father to his daughter/s. What are the things he needs to teacher her? There is Mordecai brought up Hadassah/Esther his cousin because she was his uncle’s daughter. when her parents died Mordecai adopted his cousin as his daughter and trained her up in the ways of their custom. I would like for you to give me your difination of fatherhood. i never had one to teach me but aduse me every way possible, don’t worry the Holy Spirit has been a Mordecai to me. I am now writting a manual then a book. awaiting your reply.
Ro’Sanna,
Thanks for your interest. I suggest you look at some of my earlier blogs on parenting and fathering where I cover those subjects.
