We’ve arrived in beautiful Mijas, Spain for a board meeting. The Leadership Training School here in many ways represents the cutting edge of our ministry’s future.
Hard to believe, but in a few months,
AIM will be 20 years old. Throughout our 20 years, we’ve sent over 80,000 people to the mission field, cared for thousands of orphans, led hundreds of thousands to Christ, discipling many of them, and planted more churches than I can count.
We’ve started ministries like the Edge, the World Race, the Ambassador Program, Real Life, the Novas Project, the Missionary Training Institute in Mexico, and now, a men’s and a women’s ministry. In addition to our Georgia training center and our U.S. offices scattered around the country, we’ve got ministry teams based in Peru, Nicaragua, Swaziland, and Mexico and we work with hundreds of ministry partners in many countries around the world.
Many of you helped us launch it. Something like this has so obviously been the result of many people’s commitment. I’ve never been one for the spotlight; my role has simply been to steward the dreams and the people that God has entrusted to me – to be someone who believes that they can happen.
God has great things ahead for us if we’ll just put all of our trust solely on him. I believe that his dream of a generation of radicals planting the kingdom around the world can be a reality. We’re beginning to see it happen in places where, by human standards, things seem most desperate.
So, thanks for coming along for the ride. The older I get, the simpler the vision seems to be: We just want to disciple a generation of radicals as Jesus would if he were here. Jesus challenged his disciples to live boldly and then trusted them to carry on his mission after he departed. We want to help those following Jesus around the world do just that. We’ve seen some amazing fruit in the lives of the people we’ve been privileged to touch over the years. By teaching them how to listen for the Master’s voice and then obey him, no matter the cost, miracles happen.
October 10-11 we’ll be formally celebrating our 20 years together with a dinner and activities in Gainesville, GA. We’re throwing a big party with lots of delicious food and fun. You’re invited – we’d love to have you. If you’re interested in knowing more, please call 800-881-2461 and talk to Serena about your rsvp or e-mail us..
God has been good to not give us more than we can handle. We appreciate your partnership with us as we seek the Lord for his leading in the next 20 years!
Blessings on your household, and on Karen’s continued recovery, and all that you collectively set your hand to: (From Proverbs 31)
“She is like merchant ships; she brings her food from afar…”
“She considers a field and buys it; from her earnings she plants a vineyard…”
“She extends her hand to the poor, and she stretches our her hand to the needy…”
“Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land…”
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she smiles at the future…”

Seth, you truly do make people feel like they matter and are significant, especially for The Kingdom. Thank you for your life.
Very proud to be part of something that has a legacy of bringing the Kingdom without bypassing character. See you in Romania…
Well said mArC! Seth makes people shine. 20yrs as a people maker… disciple maker is noble. And better still, he’s very modest about it.
Agreed with Michael. It’s an honor to be a part of this.
Congratulations! What an incredible ministry. My wife and I have been blessed by our youth trips with AIM and we’re eagerly anticipating what God has in store for us on the race in Jan 2010.
