Talia wins.
1. Where: South Carolina right after Hurricane Hugo. Big clue here is the long broken live oak limb.
2. When: 1990 – AIM’s first summer. We did 2 projects in South Carolina. Clue: Hugo was in fall of ’89.
3. Who: Talia & Seth. 7 and 5 years old.
4. Why they are there: I believed that parents should take their children and do ministry with them. This was us giving that theory a whirl. 21 years later, I’d say it was one of the best things we did as parents. And I couldn’t be happier about the fruit.

Talia, let’s go to lunch.

  • – Perhaps…Property that was bought where your home is now.
    -Maybe…1988
    -Def…Talia and Seth Jr.
-Oh gosh… umm, you made them stand there and take a picture just so, after many years you could put it up on your blog and give this random quiz to everyone.

It would be a miracle if I won, but hey! If I did then I will enjoy a free lunch next time I come see you guys!

  • 1. Where? Somewhere in Georgia. Close to Gainesville?

    2. Sometime in the 1980s

    3. Two of your children

    4. You were driving around after a storm and saw a massive tree by the side of the road lying there because it had been struck by lightening. They are there to give proportion to how big the tree is.

    …maybe? Haha

  • 1.AIM property in Gainesville,GA looking at it from Bogus Road.
    2. Talia and Seth Jr
    3. 1989
    4. Property just bought and ministry started in Gainesville,GA

  • 1. where: in Florida.
    2. when: mid to late 80’s.
    3.Talia and Seth Barnes Jr.
    4. You were on a road trip to visit family and of course Seth had to pee, but couldn’t go by himself, so Talia walked him across the street so that he wouldn’t pee in his car seat. what a good big sister!

  • that Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Phillip,

standing on the balcony of Buckingham Palace after her coronation,

    1953

  • A clue: So far you guys have gotten one of the four right. There are enough clues in the picture to correctly guess all four.

  • okay people – hurry up and guess, i’m not allowed to answer until 20 people have guessed! I need free lunch!

  • I don’t even know where to begin, but will try anyway!

I guess two of your children, 1979 and Mexico.

  • 1. Coming home from one of AIM’s first trips in South Carolina.
    2. 1990
    3. Seth Jr. and myself
    4. We were indeed crossing the street to go to the bathroom (as a family, we made very few stops on road trips).

  • Uncle Tommy – I think we’re gonna see you this week in FL, no?

I gave her a pass, ‘cuz everyone was watching the Super Bowl and not guessing. But that’s a good catch…

  • Hahaha, I love the reason (Seth–doing ministry; Talia–taking care of the call of nature ;-).
    Enjoy lunch, you two!

  • If there were a caption under it…it would read “That was close!”

Can I go to lunch with you two? huh? huh?

  • Sure Connie – especially since you always bring a party wherever you are. I promise not to stop for bathroom breaks at any wind-damaged trees.

  • West Palm Beach, FL
    1988
    Estie and Seth, Jr.
On your way to the Lorenz’ house for family worship (just kidding — I just wanted to say something not too many people would know about … and it looks like the route to the Lorenz’ house). But let me go with: After a storm in West Palm).
And if I win — I’m coming for my free lunch! :-).
