Networking to help your kingdom dream
A group of us led a Kingdom Dreams workshop in Atlanta this past weekend. Afterwards we went to Stone Mountain and sang songs and talked (that’s Lilly and Caleb in the pic).Best thing we did was to network folks. A lot of us have a dream, but we’re resource-short. And we especially need the right people. We need connections.
We made lots of them at the workshop. Some examples:
One woman dreams of starting a three-day discipleship conference for high school age girls. I asked, “Would it help to connect to the past emcee of Women of Faith?”
“Absolutely,” she answered. So we made a call and left a message to a friend of mine.
Jean-Pierre wanted to start a micro enterprise loan fund in Haiti. We put him in touch with Matt Loeffler who has started one already and can mentor him.
Lindsey wants to start a ministry that makes videos of senior citizens telling the story of their lives so that it can be given to their grandchildren. When I was younger, I’d started that very same ministry and still had the plan. I forwarded it to her and offered to work with her on it.
The body of Christ is bigger and more powerful than we know. We need to help one another to demonstrate its strength. Why not connect with our dreamers as they show up in a city near you? They’ll listen to you, coach you, and help you network – all for free.
