Adam lost his birthright – the title to stewardship of this world. But God had a plan for getting it back. He had a second Adam. As the New Testament opens up in Matthew 1, we see it. In apparently boring detail we see there were 42 generations from Abraham to Christ. Why does God begin telling the story like this?

As Andrew explains, the secret is that Jesus the Christ was the 42^nd generation – the generation that gets the Promised Land. And so, in our day we can align ourselves with that generation – a generation coming to faith. During our conversation in a hotel in Dallas, he gave me the background on it.

I can’t reveal to you how much your blog….your heart speaks to my husband and myself. I pray for your harvest! Your post “What is the 42ned Generation?” (5/18/2008) quickend my spirit. Then I read the scripture that Paul labored for Christ to be formed in those he ministerd to….I cried and cried. All day! I believe this is the true heart of spiritual fathers and mothers. “The 42nd Generation” is the 6th chapter of Bill Britton’s 1967 booklet titled ‘Sons of God Awake!’

Bill Britton was the prophetic voice way ahead of his generation and was misquoted, misunderstood and misrepresented but the clear, true Voice of God in him cannot be extinquished to this day and a remnant, like this daughter Becky is still containing it and spread the fire, igniting the passion.

Honor that forerunner!
