In the morning, 85 First Year Missionaries head to Swaziland, England, New Zealand, Mexico, Kenya, and South Africa for the better part of a year. 55 World Racers head back home for a final three months of preparation before ministering around the world for a year. The excitement around here is palpable!

What will the future hold? We’re not called “Adventures In Missions” for nothing – adventure is on the horizon and its written on the faces of those checking their luggage for the last time.

Yes, they’ll see strange lands, experience exotic cultures, and go deep with God. But one of the greatest adventures they’ll have is to meet ladies like this South African lady. To see her bury her face in her hand as she prays, and then, moments later, to watch as she explodes in laughter as God’s joy hits her. There is a thrill in that that has to be experienced.

Life lived in the presence of such people is alive with possibilities. It is chock full of adventure. Oh to be young again and to have my faith tested as these young people will have their’s tested. Oh to have the thrill of this kind of experience for

woman overjoyed 2the first time. We owe our young people this. To saddle them with a career before they’ve experienced God’s glory in other cultures is often to have sinned against them.
