That’s what it’s all about. This was a great teaching moment for my two middle boys to talk about why we tell people about Jesus, and especially why people leave home and family to tell others about Jesus. WooHoo! Another child has come home… literally and spiritually.
The story of Emilio & Luisa
This past month our World Race team in the Andes mountains in Peru met an elderly couple, Emilio and Luisa Chavez. After some conversation, they led Luisa to Christ.
A few days later she died.
This short but moving video by our media team shows what that meant to Emilio.
God’s timing, it is never too late, but right on time. Jerry received Christ one day before he passed (after years of prayer and planting seeds). God is soooo gracious! We serve such a good God!!!
wowwhat an opportunity, and a blessing to this husband and community :-). Glad you werre there, WRers. The word says to mourn with those who mourn, and I trust you had the chance to do that as well…
We did attend the funeral and spent time with Emilio and the family. We were able to have a photo printed for him of him with his wife and a few vingettes of us as well.
This was such an incredible opportunity to serve the Lord and our brothers and sisters. It was truely a blessing from God.
I did not personally know them as well, but to see the bonds our teamates made with this family was inspirational. Praise God for His grace and faithfulness.
