What Courage Looks Like

Allina Robe is a World Racer whose life and pursuit of her calling shows us what courage looks like. Three years ago, when she was in Ukraine and saw the situation so many orphans were in, she decided to return and make a difference.
In the last month as Russia mobilized and then launched its forces, most Americans got out of harms way. Our embassy said, “evacuate.” We all held our breath as the invasion started and photos of casualties began to fill the media.
Allina was different. Allina didn’t prioritize her own safety when the missiles began flying. Instead she asked herself, “What is the right thing to do?”
Thousands of orphans are at risk in Ukraine and many are being evacuated to the western part of the country. Who will help them? Workers in the orphanage that Allina works in are leaving. Allina knew that the right thing to do was to stay.
Jesus said to be His hands and feet. That means doing the things he would be doing. Allina is living this call out loud. If it costs her life, then so be it.
People are finding their voices and raising them loud for the hurting and the oppressed. The orphan crisis has never been so urgent, and they’ve never needed help like this before. Allina shares more about that in this video. And here is a link if you want to give to her ministry.
How about you and me? The world can seem like a dangerous place, but it needs our love now more than ever. Will we seek to care for those in need like Allina is? Will we respond with courage?

Allina is clearly demonstrating the love of Him Who will ‘never leave or forsake us’ – courage on full display. Motivating. How am I being asked to show courage?
I’m not clear where we can send funds that might help her. Do we know any reputable sources that are able to actually get supplies to these state run orphanages . If you hear any details regarding this please let us know on your post.
Inspiring. “Greater love hath no man than to lay down their life for friends.” Help her Jesus.
