Karen and I coach a World Race squad. But we just want to relate as “normal” people without any of the trappings of position. So when one of our squad members said, “You are kind of a mystery to our squad,” I thought, OK, I should explain what Adventures In Missions does. So here’s a brief overview.
What does AIM do?
Well, first of all, what it does now is not what we’ve always done. We started small, in our garage, and in a place of pain in our lives. Here’s the story.
We make missions personal. We connect the body of Christ to the needs of the world. We use missions as a tool to disciple young people. Here is a list of our ministries.
90,000 participants since 1989 going on 7-10 day mission trips in the U.S. and internationally
500 racers in 2011 going around the world for a year, living missionally
400 participants going on 2-9 month projects around the world
5000 orphans we feed and care for in Africa

Kingdom Dreams
Connecting people to their dreams to build the kingdom
Some people are impressed by all this, but it’s God’s work – we’re just stewards. I’m hoping the best is yet to come. We’ve got an amazing team of staff people and their leaders are world class. We’re committed to following Jesus’ example, discipling people one at a time, helping them to understand who God made them to be and how they fit in his kingdom.

Thanks so much for including your story…it has encouraged us. We are just birthing ministry here and we have had our share of discouragement. We can identify with your comments of abandonment to the Lord; however, in the American culture it can be a lonely experience. Thank you for encouraging us through your testimony.
