I’ve been teaching a group of World Race alumni in a new program we’re calling “Searchlight.” The key lessons I shared:
1. God’s a dreamer. He makes us to be dreamers too. We dream all the time. We even day-dream.
2. He gives his dreams to his children for safe-keeping. We need to steward them.
3. He equips us with the resources to make his dreams live – we need to trust him.
4. The world and it’s pain kills our dreams. We need to hang out with dreamers to learn how to dream again.
5. We need to practice dreaming by serving another person’s dream.
God gave us an incredible illustration of how this works in less than an hour yesterday afternoon through three people I mentor. I’ve been helping them learn these principles about dreaming and praying with them about their dreams. Here’s who they are, what their dream is, and how God is helping fulfill the dream he gave them.
Scott Molgard – Has a dream of a ministry that will call men to discover their masculine identity and role in the kingdom called Manhikes. Yesterday we talked for about an hour. He and Linnea are moving to Gainesville and need a place to launch from.
Patti Blakely – Has a dream called Beauty for Ashes that she shares with several other women. They need a place to do their retreats.
Krystle Longmire – Has a dream of a safehouse for girls caught in the sex trade.
Yesterday, a friend called up and said, “Could you use a house I’ve got on the lake as a training venue?”
Of course it’s perfect for all three dreams. In the shower this morning, I was working out how we could do that. And I used it as an illustration in teaching the Project Searchlight students. After getting off the phone with my friend, I took them on adventure and checked it out. It’s a phenomenal place – a place where dreams will be birthed.

Ha, why did reading this make my heart race a little?
And Linnea says you need a new pic of me, since I have been dieting!
I was thinking of a good description or vision of the men’s thing, but with age comes discretion- I will email it to you.
Nooo! There’s only a few of us AIMers in New England! 🙂
I’ve been wondering about your posts about Searchlight. I like it and I’m inspired. Thank you and many blessings to the dreamers!
