Today we’re in the air to South Africa where we’ll be leading our World Race team through a debrief (in Nelspruitt). Their faith has had a profound impact on our lives this past year. We’ve lived vicariously through them and repeatedly been inspired by their example. All of which leads me to make a suggestion for you blog readers that could bring you more life as well.
So here’s my suggestion: Adopt a World Race team for year. Follow their adventures going around the world and help pray for them as they confront their challenges. I promise you: it will begin to impact your life.
We have developed
a method for the World Race teams to communicate with their prayer supporters by posting a video
or blog, updating their progress and challenges (for a sample
report video, click here). I’m hoping that people like you, my blog readers, will not only do this, but will ask your churches and ministries to adopt a tea.

These videos can be
uploaded and shown to a church congregation, Sunday school class, student
ministry, or small group. We have done this so that the people praying
for an adopted World Race team can gain a better
understanding of the challenges the team is facing, share in the
joy of the team’s ministry successes, and pray intelligently about
specific needs.

You can explore the details of this prayer
initiative by visiting the Adopt a Team
link and following the sign-up instructions. If you know someone on the
World Race and are interested in adopting that team, just visit the
person’s blog and click the “Adopt My Team” link in the left-hand menu.

I am trying to find some info. on a missionary who was with you abt.. 1980. She impacted my thinking on missions very much. I VBS next week I am using her as my hero. Her name was Patty Moore. She was a missionary in, Irian Jaya, I am sure I miss spelled the area she was in. I was wondering if you have any info. on her. The last I heard she had gotten sick and was brought home. I also heard she was a nurse in Indianapolis. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
