Today we’re in the air to South Africa where we’ll be leading our World Race team through a debrief (in Nelspruit). Their faith has had a profound impact on our lives this past year.  We’ve lived vicariously through them and repeatedly been inspired by their example. All of which leads me to make a suggestion for you blog readers that could bring you more life as well.
prayer circleSo often we search for a more hope-filled and inspired life, but lack a practical way to engage.  One of the things that keeps me plugged into what God is doing in the world are the faith stories I hear in real time from overseas.  Not only do the World Racers we follow have wild stories to tell, but they themselves go through such interesting changes as they radically abandon everything for a year.
So here’s my suggestion: Adopt a World Race team for year. Follow their adventures going around the world and help pray for them as they confront their challenges. I promise you: it will begin to impact your life.
We have developed a method for the World Race teams to communicate with their prayer supporters by posting a video or blog, updating their progress and challenges (for a sample report video, click here).  I’m hoping that  people like you, my blog readers, will not only do this, but will ask your churches and ministries to adopt a team.

These videos can be uploaded and shown to a church congregation, Sunday school class, student ministry, or small group. We have done this so that the people praying for an adopted World Race team can gain a better understanding of the challenges the team is facing, share in the joy of the team’s ministry successes, and pray intelligently about specific needs.

This isn’t about money or any financial support; we just need your prayers.
